I imagine all of us MyGreenClickers are interested in health and health foods. After all, that’s why we are so passionate about organics. Sure, organics are grown with zero chemicals and are as natural as nature intended, but they also provide proven health benefits as well.
The Green Guy here, certainly has his own regimen of taking natural and/or organic vitamins and supplements. So, although I take the basics like a good natural multivitamin, a vitamin C complex capsule, natural vitamin E, and of course my Omega-3 fish oil, I am always on the lookout for something new as a supplement for health and well being. I believe I have found a good one: Marine Phytoplankton.
Eaten by baleen whales since they became baleen whales, Marine Phytoplankton is about as close to the perfect superfood supplement that there is.
This stuff is naturally loaded with carotenoids, a form of beta-carotene that has been found to keep people healthier and have a much lower mortality rate to chronic illnesses. It also has selenium which is a good cancer fighting vitamin, zinc which makes your body quickly and efficiently heal wounds, and chromium which boosts insulin sensitivity and helps metabolize blood sugar. And that is just the beginning. There are many more health benefits from Phytoplankton.
So far, so good! It comes in a liquid form, and 10 drops per day is the normal dose. It doesn’t have to be taken all at once either, as you can do several drops at various times throughout the day. It’s best applied under your tongue, so that the liquid can bypass your digestive system and speed directly into your bloodstream. That’s all there is too it.
That’s not to say you won’t get any health benefits by mixing it into ingestible things either. Go ahead, drop a few drops into your morning protein smoothie, or a couple of drops in your cappuccino. A drop or two in your OJ or chocolate milk, and you’ll still be good to go.
There you have it. You might want to check it out, weigh the benefits and the costs, and possibly give it a try. It certainly piques my curiosity, and anything this good might seriously be worth a try!
Editors note: iherb.com has a both liquid marine phytoplankton and capsules. Both will give you the same benefit.
